In 2016, the default rate for borrowers at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras was 6.73%, or 64 of the 951 borrowers. The University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras received 6,046 enrolments in 2017, an annual decrease of 4.83%. Of these 6,046 applicants, 2,411 students were admitted to registration, representing an acceptance rate of 39.9%. Approved rates apply to scholarships, contracts and other agreements with the federal government under the terms of Section III of each collective agreement: in 2017, 15,098 students were enrolled at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras and N/A% of registrations were submitted by SAT points containing their applications.
